The slight morning chill was long gone by the time a record turnout of riders rolled off for the 2011 MegaMonster. Sunshine and temperatures to 72F made for perfect, even according to a few hot, riding. A morning headwind managed to switch to a bonus headwind on the final, always tough, 10 km back to Paicines, but otherwise conditions were near-perfect.
